It All Started With a Dirt Bike
In 2016, Dirt Legal was founded by a guy who loved the outdoors, off-road everything, and his dirt bike most of all. He wanted the freedom to ride his dirt bike more places, so he figured out how to make it street legal.
Then he helped a friend do the same. Then the friend of a friend. And the rest is history.
What started with one dirt bike and a love for the freedom of the outdoors has grown into a company that has helped customers with more than 80,000 orders over the last decade.
And while we've grown quite a bit since 2016, that original passion for off-road vehicles, adventure, and finding a way to get out and ride is still at the heart of who we are.
We Grew Up. Sort Of.
Dirt Legal may have started with dirt bikes, but it didn't take long for people to start asking us about everything else.
Motorcycles. ATVs. UTVs. Cars. Trucks. RVs. Boats. Military vehicles. Mini trucks. Exotic and specialty vehicles.
At this point, we've learned how to help with almost anything that has at least two wheels and an engine.
We said almost.
Over the years, we've expanded our services to help vehicle owners navigate registration, titling, documentation, and other vehicle-related challenges across a much wider range of vehicles and situations.
Because once people realized we could help with one difficult vehicle situation, they started bringing us the next one. And the next one.
Still Grassroots. Still Off-Road.
Even as Dirt Legal has grown, we're still rooted in the community that started it all.
We understand dirt bikes, off-road vehicles, builds, and the people who would rather spend their weekend outside than sitting around dealing with paperwork.
Helping eligible off-road vehicles become street legal remains an important part of what we do, and the off-road community will always be part of Dirt Legal's DNA.
But we've also grown with our customers. The person who came to us years ago with a dirt bike may now have a side-by-side, a truck, a classic car, an RV, or something completely unexpected sitting in their garage.
So we've continued expanding what we can help with.

What's Next?
Honestly, we're not sure what the next vehicle someone is going to bring us. That's part of the fun.
But if there's one thing we've learned over the last decade, it's that vehicle owners are constantly building, buying, restoring, importing, modifying, and finding new things to put in their garages.
And we're still here to help them figure out what comes next.
